When To Go

Southern BC's winters tend to be very mild, but up north it's much colder, with snowfalls averaging around 100cm's. BC is known for it's ski resorts, most notably the Whistler and Blackcomb mountains, located just outside of Vancouver. The Okanagan is home to Big White and Silver Star, two major tourist attractions in winter months.

Summer is tourist season, and the months of July and August are jam-packed with crowds. The Okanagan boasts a beautiful cherry season, along with apples, appricots, plums, blackberries and strawberries. Early summer is the best time of year to get the greatest variety.
